As much as I hate to say it, the Desert Moon Domain (Midland/Odessa) has dissolved. The group decided to go troupe and only three people were interested in staying members of the Cam. I spoke with these gentlemen and they advocated closing the domain. They have been transferred as requested. Sometime in the future I hope to see a new wave of people start a chapter there and do the most amazing recruiting ever.In the same vein, I am speaking with those from Lawton, OK as there is currently only one member in the CRD and no reports filed over the last 6 months. I don’t know if there are recruiting efforts going on, or if this domain needs to close as well. Once I have a feel from the members (expired and current), I will do as requested there.Pulled prestige information from archives for an old member rejoining the Cam (Jeremy “Joe” Flaming, US2003011076).I don’t know why, but for some reason the spam-bots LOVE our sc-reports list. We get a few for sc-region, but not like the sc-reports list. I am periodically going through and cleaning those out.

SC ARC Elections Report - January 2010
SUMMARY - Election for TX-068-D started applications due Feb 17 - Started Election for TX-055-D (Kileen Fields) Voting till Feb 14th - Started Election for TX-059-D – Applications feb6 (San Antonio)- on hold till feb 13th because 2 vst elections running currently. - Started Election for TX-057-D – Q/A till feb 18 ( midnight yell) - LA-007-I. I contacted the DC for list information. Contacted again on January 16th. Contacted a bunch of people who were willing to help but I finally got in touch with the ACC of the domain. Amanda Busby is going to try to ensure that most members of the domain are on a list and then contact me. I’m guessing this will take approximately a week to get everyone on the list. As soon as we get the majority of the people on the list the CC election will start. Amanda has several questions about restarting games, I forwarded to RST.

Any suggestions on how to address this in a way that the membership will feel motivated to actually report?
Answer: I would suggest consulting the “Common Problems DCs Face” document on the SC Website (http://www.scregion.org/index.php?view=article&catid=56%3Aoedownloads&id=77%3Acommon-problems-dcs-face&option=com_content&Itemid=59). If you still have problems after trying those suggestions, contact me privately.
TX-068-D, Fort Worth, TX Acting Domain Coordinator: Ryan Wilson, BloodyWebs at gmail.com Problems: Our DC has faded into non existence. She has not reported in Months and is inactive. We need a new DC. Answer: I have already spoken with David Lanning (ARC Elections). He will be starting a DC election soon. Questions: The Domain shows a Beginning Balance of 307.00 what is the procedure for accountability of that money? Answer: Unfortunately, each domain is different. Some domains have a treasurer; some use the DC as a treasurer; some domains actually have a bank account; some domains the treasurer has a cash box. Sadly, you’ll have to get in contact with the previous DC (or her hubby) to see where that money was being held and arrange to get control over it.

Prestige Guide: On the backburner for now. Need to get caught up on audits before we take time to do a guide.
FGotM: Remember that to “get” a FGotM, you need to submit your bid to Melissa Johnson (ARC Services). These are a chance to highlight different domains in the region and to come together as a region for some fun.
Community Service Project: National drives: Habitat for Humanity and Haiti Relief
Recruitment, Retaining, and Mentoring Member Drive: This organization wouldn’t be much fun without the friends…. And it sure wouldn’t function without the volunteers. Help build each chapter and domain, and you’re helping build a better region.
